We have been producing high-quality plastic and metal products “Made in Germany” for over 60 years. Depending on their finish and features, they are used in private homes, agricultural environments or industrial buildings.

We were among the first in Europe to produce, process and handle glass fiber reinforced polyester and have set new standards ever since. Many of our products are protected by over 50 patents and registered designs in Germany and Europe.

To guarantee our high standards well into the future, our qualified and highly skilled workforce, high-quality materials and consistent quality management ensure best product quality at an extremely competetive price-performance ratio.

Headquartered in Germany - as a matter of principle

The current WOLFA workforce consists of 90 employees. Fifteen of them work in organization and administration, the rest in development and production. The “Made in Germany” seal, by the way, applies to all products made by WOLFA.

We produce at two sites, at our headquarters in

  • Weikersheim-Neubronn in Baden-Wuerttemberg and in
  • Görschen near Naumburg in Sayony-Anhalt.

Six additional distribution centers in Germany (Aachen, Berlin, Frankfurt/Main, Hanover, Mülheim/Ruhr, Munich) ensure fast deliveries.

Our own vehicle fleet and a large number of distribution centers in Europe guarantee reliable service for our customers in Germany and abroad.

Tradition plus state of the art

Our history

When Johann Wolfarth founded his wheel making company in 1919, he also laid the cornerstone for WOLFA which today is doing business all over Europe. Back then, the business consisted in the building of handcarts and horsecarts. Today plastic materials have taken over in industry, agriculture and constructions. When Johann Wolfarth passed away, his son Friedrich took his place and carried out first experiments with resin and hardening materials in the mid50s. In 1955, he developed the first window made from polyester resin. This marked the birth of the plastic window made of this material in Germany.

The first casement window from glass fiber reinforced polyester (GRP) was developed in 1970. With this novelty, WOLFA stepped into a new market segment: housing construction. In 1975, the company started producing window wells and, since 1990, has been very successfully manufacturing windows and residential front doors made of high-quality PVC profiles.

All WOLFA products are planned, developed, designed and manufactured at the two corporate sites in Germany. State-of-the-art production facilities of more than 50,000 square meters and high-performing machines guarantee fast and safe production processes.

Pioneer in the production of plastic materials

WOLFA has been producing, processing and handling
glass fiber reinforced polyester since 1955. Thanks to its excellent material characteristics, WOLFA uses GRP in all areas where durability and structural stability are essential, for example for the manufacture of window wells and ventilation shafts.

GRP has also become an integral and indispensable component in car engineering, shipbuilding, sanitary environments, electric engineering and the aerospace industry.

WOLFA uses GRP as a sheet molding compound (SMC), a mixture of polyester resin, mineral filling material and a large portion of glass fibers. The glass fiber compound and the thermosetting polyester resin guarantee greatest stability and shape retention even under extreme conditions.

Quality management at WOLFA

WOLFA is the largest window well producer in Germany. WOLFA “Quality Made in Germany” is not merely a mark of distinction but also a daily challenge to meet the needs of our customers throughout Europe.

Certified safety

The WOLFA PROFI window wells have been successfully tested and certified at the Leipzig Institute for Material Research and Testing. The testing process included long-term watertightness tests in extreme conditions. The results were outstanding.

RAL-verified thermal insulation - certified inhouse insulation production

The thermal insulation glass made by WOLFA is produced on fully automatic state-of-the-art production lines. The WOLFATherm ® and WOLFA-Maxitherm® brands stand for energy saving and heat insulation. Our insulated glass production has been tested according to the DIN EN 410, 673, 1279-2 and 1279-3 standards, and certified by the IFT institute in Rosenheim.

Two WOLFA quality labels guarantee verified quality of our building elements made from steel and plastic material.

WOLFA stands for flexibilty and has tasked itself with constantly meeting and adapting to the challenges and requirement in the marketplace. Higher quality standards for products and customer-oriented services are paramount. All employees are closely involved in these processes.
