We have been producing and processing glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) for almost 60 years.
This plastic material with its outstanding characteristics is used in all areas where durability and structural stability is essential. GRP has become an integral and indispensable component in car engineering, shipbuilding and the aerospace industry. WOLFA, pioneer in the production of glass fiber reinforced windows, has been using this material as a sheet molding compound (SMC), a mixture of polyester resin, mineral filling material and a high portion of glass fibers.

The glass fiber compound and the thermosetting polyester resin guarantee greatest stability and shape retention even under extreme conditions. Unlike traditional thermoplastics such as PVC or polypropylene, our SMC cannot be reshaped by heat once it has hardened, and retains its sturdy and stable characteristics even when exposed to extreme temperature fluctuations.
Compared to other drainage systems made of concrete or polymer concrete, WOLFA GRP drainage channels convince not only with their high break-resistance but also with their light weights which clearly reduce transport and handling costs.

The right drainage system depends on your application:
- Low-profile drainage channels, such as AquaStop or 100/6V, are ideal where installation height is limited.
- Slot drains provide an elegant linear drainage solution for projects with high architectural requirements.
- Catch basins are suitable for collecting water at specific drainage points.
For optimum performance, the drainage channel should be installed with a suitable gradient to ensure efficient water flow and effective removal of dirt and debris. Connect the individual channel sections according to the installation instructions and connect the outlet to the existing drainage system.
Regular cleaning removes leaves, dirt and other debris. WOLFA slot drain systems are available with catch basins featuring removable silt buckets for easy maintenance. For stubborn deposits, a high-pressure cleaner can be used.
